Profound Forgiveness

Sometimes we happen upon a rare nugget of information that creates a profound shift.

That happened to me this morning as I was listening to the intuitive intelligence initiate program by @intuitiveintelligenceinstitute.

I hadn’t realized I had still been carrying around anger in my heart towards people in my past, people I hadn’t forgiven fully, and that this anger has actually been preventing me from growing.

In discussing the law of vibration, this program talks about how all external events are illusions we co-create to help us grow.

Many of you may have heard of Ho’oponopono, the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness through repeating the mantras, “I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you.”

What took this practice to another level for me was imagining the person I haven’t forgiven fully as an innocent infant, looking into their eyes and saying these words and then imagining them again as an adult saying these same words back to me.

We can do this practice as often as we need to in order to fully forgive and to start feeling love replacing the anger inside of us.

I already feel so much lighter from this practice, and my voice feels stronger, happier, and more confident.

I recently also took part in a Sufi dance where we practiced looking deeply into another person’s eyes and saying these same words, and what we found was that we could see each other’s true soul selves dancing in each other’s eyes, beyond all the external representations.

When we are fully loving and no longer see ourselves as separate from anything else in the universe, perhaps that is when the earth will become the paradise it was always meant to be.
